Ability to Disable/Enable iButton Feature Remotely in our Vehicle Tracking System
Giving you more control over your vehicles
Log into the vehicle tracking application. Once logged in, locate the "Assets" section within the application.
Within the Assets section, you'll find a subsection labeled "Vehicles." Click on this section to view a list of all registered vehicles within the system.
After selecting the desired vehicle, Here, you'll find various options and settings related to the vehicle's tracking features. Look for the option labeled "Disable iBtn" within this page.
The iButton is a great solution in controlling who can start and drive the vehicle. With driver authorization, it allows specific iButton owners to use the vehicle, making it easy to identify the driver on the road. Additionally, it acts as an immobilizer, ensuring that the engine starter won't work without proper authorization, preventing unauthorized use of the vehicle.
This update allows a quick and easy way to remotely bypass this additional security on the vehicles should there be a need, allowing the vehicle to start normally without the need of the iButton key so anyone can start and drive.
You can always turn it back on at any time from the same page.
