As a result of our continuous growth, a vacancy has arisen for a Technical Sales Engineer to form part of its successful team.
Overall Purpose
In this role we are seeking for an electrical & electronics engineering professional who effectively combines in-depth technical knowledge with business development skills, facilitating the promotion and sales of our cutting-edge technical products and services.
A professional responsible for prospecting local and international private businesses, and identifying tender opportunities related to Internet of Things projects. Creating tailor made technical proposals for key projects, and negotiating proposals with customers, and partners, both on a technical and commercial level.
The company’s products and services relate to Internet of Things applications, including GPS vehicle and asset tracking services, level and distance monitoring and control of fuel, oil, wastewater, and water tanks. Temperature and humidity control applications for food and pharma industries, on-street parking management, water and gas metering, power supply and energy monitoring, marine solutions, and custom Industrial IoT applications.
The products and services are targeted towards both the local and international markets, direct to private businesses and end-clients, software integrators, and government entities.
Requirements
The suitable candidate should:

Be resident in Malta, be fluent in Maltese and English, and hold a car driving license;

Have a Bachelors Degree in Electronics Engineering, MQF Level 6;

Have a professional appearance.

Ability at identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.

Have the ability to create detailed and engaging technical proposals with technical illustrations and images.

Be organized and have a strong aptitude for technology.

Possess excellent communication and listening skills, a positive attitude, and a resilient character, along with a strong customer orientation.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Prospect: Identify and prospect local and international business opportunities, including tenders and private sector leads.
Technical Solution: Understand client needs and present tailored technical detailed proposals with technical diagrams and visuals and a commercial offer.
Sales: Negotiate and close deals with clients and partners, by managing both the technical and commercial requirements.
Commissioning: After the installation or delivery is made, the technical sales engineer will support the customer by ensuring the successful commissioning of the product or service, ensuring the client gets maximum value.
