Overall Purpose

​

The overall purpose of the Mechanical Engineer is responsible for designing plastic enclosures, assembly line jigs, and conducting mechanical testing to ensure high-quality product development and manufacturing efficiency. Managing assembly line operations and on-field installations contributes to streamlined processes and customer satisfaction, ultimately driving the organization's success in delivering quality products and maintaining a strong market position.

The company’s products relate to Internet of Things applications, including GPS vehicle and fleet tracking services, level and distance monitoring of tanks, temperature and humidity control applications, on-street parking management, and others. 

  

The products and services are targeted towards both the local and international markets, to businesses, software integrators, consumers, and government entities. 

Requirements

​

The suitable candidate should: 
 

• Be resident in Malta and hold a car driving license;

• Have MQF Level 6 or better in Mechanical Engineering;

• Be proficient in design of enclosures for injection molding;

• Be proficient in using milling and lathe equipment;

• Be a mechanical engineering enthusiast.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

​

Design of Plastic Enclosures: Create functional, visually appealing plastic casings for products, considering material choice and manufacturing methods for cost-effective, durable solutions.

​

Design of Assembly Line Jigs: Develop specialized tools and fixtures for assembly lines to enhance efficiency, reduce errors, and ensure consistent production.

​

Mechanical Testing: Conduct tests to assess the quality and safety of mechanical and electronic components, identifying defects and performance issues.

​

Manage Assembly Line Processes and Operations: Oversee production lines, optimize workflows, coordinate staff, and ensure smooth operations for efficient manufacturing.

Manage on Field Installations and Execution: Coordinate product deployment, ensuring smooth installation and performance in real-world settings to meet customer expectations.

​

Maintenance and Repair: Oversee the maintenance and repair of on the field deployed systems and equipment.
