New Automated Vehicle Statistics Reports

We’re excited to introduce our latest enhancement to the Vehicle Tracking App—Automated Vehicle Statistics Reports. This powerful feature enables you to receive detailed vehicle performance reports directly to your email inbox, making fleet management more efficient than ever. In this update, we’ll walk you through how to set up these reports and customize your vehicle data for accuracy.

Creating Automated Vehicle Statistics Reports

The new Automated Reporting feature allows you to generate and receive reports automatically via email. You can choose between Daily Reports for detailed breakdowns and Cumulative Reports for overall summaries.

How to Create a New Report Rule:

1. Select Report Type: Choose between Daily Report (for detailed breakdowns) or Cumulative Report (for summary data).

   

2. Name Your Report: Give your report a clear, descriptive name.

3. Set a Schedule: Choose between Weekly or Monthly reporting frequency.

4. Choose Report Format: Select Excel (CSV), PDF, or both.

5. Select Vehicles: Include all vehicles or handpick specific vehicles to be part of the report.

6. Add Recipients: Enter email addresses where the report should be sent. You can add multiple recipients by clicking the + icon.

   

7. Save the Rule: Click Create Automatic Reports to finalize and save the rule and start receiving the reports by email.

Report Delivery and Details

Once your rule is created, reports will be automatically generated and sent to your email based on the schedule you’ve chosen:

• Weekly Reports: Sent every Monday, summarizing data from the previous week.

• Monthly Reports: Sent on the first day of the month, covering the previous month's data.

Daily Reports:

• For Daily Reports, you’ll receive an email with a detailed day-by-day breakdown for each selected vehicle over the week or month, depending on the schedule chosen.

• Each report includes an aggregated overview of each day's performance, providing a clear snapshot of daily activity.

Cumulative Reports:

• Cumulative Reports compile all relevant data for each vehicle into a single, comprehensive report for the chosen period, offering a complete overview of the vehicle's performance over time.

Report Metrics:

Both Daily and Cumulative reports include key performance metrics such as:

• Distance Travelled (Km)

• Fuel Used (Litres)

• Fuel Cost (€)

• Speed Alerts Triggered

• Geo-Alerts Triggered

• Total Emissions (kg CO2)

These reports, delivered straight to your email, provide a convenient way to monitor your fleet's performance and track fuel consumption, driving behaviour, and environmental impact.

Managing Your Reporting Rules

You can view and manage your report rules directly from the Statistics page. Each rule shows key details such as:

• Rule Name

• Report Type (Daily or Cumulative)

• Schedule (Weekly or Monthly)

• Number of Vehicles included

• Number of Email Recipients

• Creation and Last Updated Date

• Rule Status (Active or Inactive)

Rule Actions:

• De-Active / Re-Activate a Rule: Click the Green icon to de-activate a report. This will turn the icon Red. Click the Red icon to re-activate the report which will turn the icon back to Green.

• Edit a Rule: Click the Pencil icon to modify any rule details, then click Update Automatic Reports.

• Delete a Rule: Click the Trashcan icon and confirm to remove a rule.

• Copy a Rule: Duplicate an existing rule by clicking the Layers icon.

• Test a Rule: Instantly generate and receive a test report via email by clicking the @ icon.

Additional Vehicle Data for Enhanced Reporting

To ensure the reports you receive by email are as accurate as possible, we’ve added extra vehicle data fields. The following consumption and cost details have been pre-loaded with factory-standard values based on each vehicle's make, model, and year of manufacture:

• Idling Consumption (L/Hr)

• City Driving Consumption (L/100Km)

• Average Consumption (L/100Km)

• Highway Driving Consumption (L/100Km)

• Fuel Type

• Fuel Price (Euro per Litre/Unit)

These default values can be used immediately, but if you notice discrepancies for your specific vehicles, you have the option to modify them.

How to Modify Vehicle Information

If the factory-standard information isn’t entirely accurate for your vehicle, it can easily be updated:

1. Navigate to Vehicles under the Assets Menu.

2. 

   Locate the vehicle you wish to update.

3. 

   Click the Open icon to access that vehicle’s details.

   

4. Modify the Consumption data as needed.

In addition, we’ve added new fields where you can enter Insurance Dates, VRT Dates, and Service KM for each vehicle. This extra information helps you stay on top of key maintenance and compliance tasks.

With these updates, our goal is to make vehicle management easier and more efficient for you. By leveraging Automated Vehicle Statistics Reports, you’ll have better control and clearer insights into your fleet’s performance.
