Level Submersible Module

Industrial-grade submersible level monitoring module using hydrostatic pressure sensing, designed for long-term deployment in stationary tanks, reservoirs, wells, and underground infrastructure, and built on the IoT Pro hardware architecture.

Product Code: IOTPRO-LEVEL-SUBMERSIBLE-MODULE

Product Overview

The IoT Pro – Level Submersible Module is a hydrostatic level monitoring device designed to measure liquid level by sensing pressure at a fixed depth within a tank, reservoir, or well.

The module interfaces with an industrial submersible pressure probe, fully immersed in the monitored liquid, and converts pressure measurements into accurate and repeatable level data for software platforms.

From a system architecture perspective, the device functions as a continuous level acquisition node for stationary assets, providing stable, long-term measurements where non-contact sensing is not required and where immersion-based measurement is preferred or already standard practice.

The solution is particularly suited to applications involving clean or mildly corrosive liquids such as water and diesel, where long-term accuracy, predictable behaviour, and low maintenance are required.

Typical Installation Points

The IoT Pro Level Submersible Module is typically installed at stationary liquid assets where continuous level monitoring is required and physical immersion of a probe is acceptable. These installations often involve deep underground locations, limited access, and intermittent or unreliable power availability.

Measurement & Sensing Capabilities

The IoT Pro Level Submersible Module uses hydrostatic pressure measurement to determine liquid level, providing stable and accurate readings independent of surface turbulence, vapours, or foam.

Submersible Pressure-Based Level Measurement

The connected submersible probe measures the hydrostatic pressure exerted by the liquid column above it, which is directly proportional to liquid height.

This measurement approach offers:

  • Continuous and smooth level readings

  • Immunity to surface conditions

  • Suitability for deep tanks and wells

IoT Pro Hardware Architecture

The IoT Pro Level Submersible Module is built on the IoT Pro Hardware Architecture, sharing the same industrial enclosure, power intelligence, lifecycle tooling, and integration model as all IoT Pro devices.

Gradient Abstract Background

Power-Intelligent, Long-Life Operation

Supports standard and extended battery configurations for multi-year operation in underground tanks and wells, as well as external DC or solar power where available, with rechargeable internal battery backup.

Flexible Connectivity, One Integration Model

Supports LoRaWAN, NB-IoT, LTE Cat-1, and Wi-Fi using the same integration model, enabling deployment in remote underground locations using LoRaWAN or cellular, or private Wi-Fi where available.

Antenna & Mechanical Configuration Flexibility

Internal antenna operation suits most installations, while external SMA and through-lid antenna options are critical for underground tanks, chambers, and concrete or metal enclosures.

Simplified Commissioning & Field Deployment

Factory pre-configuration, magnet-based activation, on-device LEDs, and optional Bluetooth diagnostics minimise installation time and reduce dependence on specialised personnel.

Additional I/O Interfaces

Beyond level sensing, the IoT Pro Level Submersible Module provides auxiliary interfaces that allow it to act as a combined sensing and control device. This hybrid architecture allows level data to be combined with auxiliary status signals and control actions within a single product.
